How long does the website copywriting process take?

A typical website copywriting project takes 2-6 weeks from start to finish, depending on the scope and your response time for feedback. The discovery phase usually takes 1 week, writing the first draft takes 1-2 weeks, and revisions typically take another week. I always establish clear timeline expectations during our initial call.

Do you also write the meta descriptions and SEO elements?

Absolutely! Meta descriptions, title tags, and strategic keyword placement are all included in my website copywriting packages. These elements are crucial for both search visibility and encouraging clicks from search results pages. I conduct keyword research as part of every website project to ensure we're targeting valuable search terms.

What if I don't like the copy you've written?

My collaborative process is designed to prevent this situation, starting with a thorough questionnaire and discovery call to ensure I understand your vision. However, all packages include two rounds of revisions to refine the copy until you're delighted with it. In the rare case we're still not aligned after revisions, we'll work together to find a solution that gets your satisfaction.

Do you work with web designers or should I hire you before or after design?

I work flexibly with your design process. Ideally, copy and design should inform each other, so I'm happy to collaborate directly with your design team. If you're starting from scratch, I recommend beginning with copy to ensure the design supports your message (not vice versa). If you already have a design, I can craft copy that works within those constraints, though some design adjustments may be beneficial.
